Welcome to the Medical Outreach Ministries!

We're glad you're here so that we can tell you about our valuable mission and services. We serve the uninsured people of Montgomery, Elmore, and Autauga counties without access to healthcare. We provide quality healthcare, pharmaceutical, and dental services to citizens who cannot afford the care otherwise.
OUR MISSION
As a witness for Jesus Christ, Medical Outreach Ministries exists to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the medically underserved by providing free healthcare services
SERVICES
Medical Care is provided free of charge for patients between the ages of 19 and 64 without health insurance and with income up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level.
Clients are seen by appointment after being screened for eligibility. For the eligibility screening, clients are asked to provide proof of household income (such as Social Security, disability, unemployment, child support, food stamps, salary, etc.) and picture identification with Social Security number.
WHAT WE DO
Medical Outreach Ministries is a non-profit organization that exists to serve people in Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore Counties who cannot afford routine medical care for themselves.
While the poorest of the poor may be eligible for Medicaid or other public assistance, there are many uninsured persons who fall through the cracks of the healthcare system. Their only access to a physician for even the most common illnesses is often through the local emergency rooms. Through financial donations from individuals, businesses, churches, civic organizations, etc., and our volunteer program, Medical Outreach Ministries is able to improve access to medical care.
Medical Outreach Ministries has a huge drug assistance program and typically provides $87,000 in free medications monthly. Major pharmaceutical companies like Johnson and Johnson, Merck and Lily donate drugs through their indigent drug programs. We also receive samples from local doctors and pharmaceutical representatives. This program is vital because most of our patients cannot afford the cost of buying their own prescriptions.
We have approximately 60 volunteers that help manage our clinic and medication room. Their services are invaluable.
